Lupe Fiasco & Lasers

Hip-Hop artist Lupe Fiasco’s much anticipated “Lasers” album finally has a release date. Lupe has claimed that his third studio release has been ready for years now but states Atlantic Records has held back the album. Fans have feverishly awaited the album and have even picketed outside the record company. Lasers has a March 8th 2011 release date.

Heres the first single of his album called "Words I Never Said"... I personally gave this track a 10/10 (perfect song)

  3. Very good song. I'm glad at least one artist now-a-days is paying attention to the real news as opposed to the bs they try to spoon feed us. Schools should be one of the top priorities of the nation yet they've fallen so low.

  7. I love Lupe. He has always been a lyrical genius and his music is always 100% truth and freedom of expression. Been loving his lyrics for years.. and I could not be more happy with his new album Lasers. Each and every song on the album hits close to home. So grateful for the music he makes. Especially loving Never Forget You, just lost one of my best friends to cancer a few days ago.

  9. After 3 good solid weeks of listening, I have to admit that this is no Food & Liquor or The Cool, but it's still Lupe-esque. You can definitely tell that Atlantic was pulling his creative strings, but even as a puppet, he still tried to do his own moves. If you can get past the mediocre beat choices, random autotune and elementary hooks, its a great mainstream hip hop album. A friend of mine recently disc-napped it and sent me a text message saying he wishes it were better. I told him to look at it not as a Fiasco Joint, but as maybe a Bow Wow or Drake piece. Not hatin on Bow Wow or Drake, cuz they both do their thing, but neither of them has produced anything like "Go Go Gadget Flow" or "The Cool". He thanked me for puttin it in perspective.

As a die hard Femme Fiasco, I bought it, knowing it was gonna be subpar. But thats why I repurchased F&L and The Cool...jus to make up for it. :-)
